Hi, I started on the slimming world plan yesterday after a shocking wake-up call on Saturday when the Wii told me I'd added an extra stone since my husband got sick in the Summer and I'm down to just a few things that still fit me!
I've done a lot of soul-searching and really have to get myself sorted because I can't afford the health problems that I'm already experiencing from being overweight.
So .... because I already know that I don't do well with carbs, I'm saying 'high protein here I com…

hiya, joined slimming world with my hubby last tuesday and fell upon this forum which i am hoping will be a huge help and chance to comminicate with other people who need to lose weight and improve their life style like myself. I was devestated when i got on those scales for the first time because i didn't realise how heavy i'd become, well actually yes i did but i suppose in all honesty i was in denial. So i have 4 stone to lose which seems such a long journy to be taking, do any of you readers…

Ok here we go again, I fell off the wagon after a couple of weekends away and got completely out of control again, I put on everything I lost and feel really desperate again as I can't fit into anything and feel really heavy.
I have weighed this morning and hope to be able to get back on track, why can't I do it, other people seem to be able to control what they eat?
I am looking foward to feeling in control again and really enjoy it when I am doing well so why don't I stick to it?
Hope every…

The last time I joined SW was when I was in my early 20's. I seem to remember always being a large build but round about the age of 23 I felt FAT.
I told many people I was going to slimming world and got the same response from everyone 'what for?. Looking back and compared to how I am now, I guess I wasn't bad.
Over the years and through ill health which put paid to much exercise for me for about 3 years I have piled on the pounds (nay stones)
I am also diabetic with High blood pressure and c…

Hello
So here we go again - yet another Day 1 back on plan. This does have to be the time I stick with it even through the hard times. I must get out of this yo-yo cycle. As I start my plan today I need to remind myself of why I this is so important to me.
I am engaged with two lovely boys and I seem to be watching their lives from the side lines, I don't seem to get involved I am always the one watching whilst they play and run around. I avoid the school run whenever possible because I hate t…

Wnt to my group to weigh in today...I am at target but like to go every few months to kep on track. I got to target nearly a year ago in preparation for my wedding but now that has been an gone I have lost motivation. I keep finding myself slipping over my target weigh and what annoys me is the fact that I can eat normally and stay a healthy weight but I just lose control and binge then vow not to eat anything but salad the next day! Thats why I'm going to follow the plan ridgidly for a while as…

The way it has been for me recently, making it through one day back on track is a big deal. And making it through a day and not feeling terrible is even bigger! Yesterday I did a green day, and I was so thankful to be back on SW, where I can EAT POTATOES!..lol
What I love about SW is that you can always find something to eat. If you need a snack or a bigger portion, you can do that without going off plan.
Today I plan to make me some SW Scotch eggs. What other diet lets you have Scotch eggs wi…

Hi SW blogsters!
This is mad. I'm blogging once every six months, saying 'YES - I'M COMING BACK - THIS TIME I'LL DO IT!' I am so sick of myself....I'm becoming a little predictable, frankly, and more importantly I don't believe myself any more. I inform myself that I am going to lose the weight this time, and myself looks back at me and say 'Yeah, pull the other one, how many times have you lied to me now?!'
Once again, here I am, now at my highest weight for a long time (possibly ever, not su…

Hello everyone. I've just signed up for the Body Optimise part of SW on line and, whilst my intentions are really good, I know it makes a difference to have support. I never find dieting easy - mainly because I love going out to eat and socialising. Also, if I'm stressed or worried, I eat for comfort so, either way, I eat - and never the healthy, good stuff!
We have a special wedding anniversary coming up later this year and if I can lose two pounds a week, that will make me lose 34 pounds by t…
