Slimming World Support

A warm and friendly support group for people following the Slimming World Plan

Leney

Target member but going back to basics

Wnt to my group to weigh in today...I am at target but like to go every few months to kep on track. I got to target nearly a year ago in preparation for my wedding but now that has been an gone I have lost motivation. I keep finding myself slipping over my target weigh and what annoys me is the fact that I can eat normally and stay a healthy weight but I just lose control and binge then vow not to eat anything but salad the next day! Thats why I'm going to follow the plan ridgidly for a while as it just makes you eat healthy balanced meals and fits in with family life. I would also like to lose 8lbs as I am near the top of my target weight and would like to get down to the same weight I was for my wedding.

So today I weighed in at 9st11lbs

Am also going to try to only weigh myself at SW each week.

Hi, hows it going? Did you manage to get yourself back on track? I'm like you (only 3 and half stone heavier!) I tend to go from one extreme to the other and I think thats the problem. I have started again today and this time if I am hungry I am just going to keep eating free food, I'm not going to worry if I've already had 3 bananas or 2 muller lights or if I have eaten too much pasta, it's better to get really full on that than starve and then end up binging. Good luck.

Hi Alibongo...well no did not manage to get back on track unfortunately...fell off the wagon well and truely...and once I started eating the wrong things I couldn't stop!! Kids have been hard work and work boring so I just comfort ate and ended up putting on 3lbs!! opps! well I'm not going to let it put me off and have got straight back on track tonight...have had a banana for breakfast, tuna pasta bake for lunch then gammon with potatoes and veg for lunch followed by yoghurt and fruit. Am going to cut back on my syns, fill up on free food and hopefully lose 5lbs this week (£Lb that I put on and 2 extra). How are you getting on? Do you write everything you eat down? x

Hi sorry you hear about your 'blip'. Yes I do tend to write it down, I also try to plan out the week as much as possible. When I do plan it properly I tend to stick to it better and my shopping usually ends up cheaper. I am getting on great but then it is only day 5 of this effort! If you could lose 5lb this week that would be brill, I am a slow loser and a pound and a half is normally a good week for me but then I still do eat massive portions so I suppose I can't have it both ways. Keep up the good work and let me know who the weigh in goes.

Still sticking to it though have had quite a few syns today but had none yesterday so should be ok. Have had apricots and yoghurt for breakfast, gammon and egg sandwich for lunch and cod, potatoes and veg for lunch witha philli cheese sauce. Syns have been a twirl (11.5) mayo (2.5) and one teaspoon of peanutr butter...not sure what that works out...about 2.5 I think. So gone 1.5 syns over...but will compensate4 for that tomorrow.
I don't normally lose 5lbs in a week either just being extra hopeful!!!!!

Leney, what is the recipe for philli cheese sauce? I haven't been to class for years but I always thought philli had syns in it even the low fat one, has that changed? I love philli.

There is a new philli with basil which is gorgeous and tastes like pesto...I have it as an 'a' choice and just melt it in a saucepan then pour it over fish, chicken or pasta...very nice!!
