I heard about symptom monitoring diaries through somebody at the Verity forum. They do a variety of different ones but the blue moon diary is specifically do issues such as endometriosis and pcos. I really think my symptoms of PCOS overlap with my migraines, the tiredness straddles the two problems I am almost certain. I also wonder if my symptoms have a pattern to them or could be better controlled by making dietary or lifestyle changes?
Apparently the blue moons diary will help me:
I can start at any time of the year
See clearly and easily the severity and patterns of my key symptoms
Understand whether stress or lifestyle factors are making my symptoms worse
Monitor the effect of any treatments or interventions
It is simple to use - highly effective - stylishly discreet
'If you suffer from premenstrual syndrome, polycystic ovarian syndrome or endometriosis, understanding and controlling your symptoms can be quite difficult. This is why health experts recommend keeping a daily record of your symptoms and the factors that may influence them. But this is easier said than done - what symptoms do you record? And more importantly, how do you record symptoms in a way that makes sense when it comes to reviewing them later? The blue moons diary will make recording and monitoring your symptoms easy - this can be an important step toward you taking control of your menstrual symptoms.' - I thought taking it to the endo etc could be useful!
'If you take medication or make lifestyle changes you can chart the results in your diary and really see if it is helping or not. You will be able to see trends as symptoms change as well as noticing any patterns and relationships between different symptoms. '
'The diary's straightforward guide to menstrual disorders includes advice about seeking alternative as well as conventional treatment and helpful advice on breaking the taboo - how to tell your family and friends about what is happening to you.'
Ordered mine today, £12.99 including p&p which I didn't think was bad at all. Hopefully it will arrive by mid-next week which will give me around 3 weeks of jotting time before my first endo appointment. I really want to get metformin but if they won't give it to me there and then at least I can carry on charting my progress, giving my coil more time to settle etc etc. Will update with what it is like etc once it arrives and I have done a few weeks of it.
