About Me:
*edit* Now single (as of 5/5/08) so this is all about me now. Onwards and downwards!!

I am 23 and live just into Essex working in Central London. My OH lives in the Midlands which means lots of travelling and long phone calls. For the past 6 months I have been having daily migraines and been generally quite ill. I am quite highly medicated for them but it means I am tired a lot of the time and haven't lost the weight I gained over the past couple of years. To help my relationship, health and self-confidence I have enlisted the help of one of my best friends and tonight we are due to join slimming world.
Favorite Music:
Oh that is such a toughie because I absolutely love music...right now I will start off with kanye west, dixie chicks, dolly parton and the charts for it's variety!!
Favorite TV Shows/Films:
Gavin and Stacey, Top Gear, Hollyoaks, Neighbours and Home and Away...erm..Hotel Babylon...Gossip Girl and Dirty too

Symptom monitoring Diaries

I heard about symptom monitoring diaries through somebody at the Verity forum. They do a variety of different ones but the blue moon diary is specifically do issues such as endometriosis and pcos. I really think my symptoms of PCOS overlap with my migraines, the tiredness straddles the two problems I am almost certain. I also wonder if my symptoms have a pattern to them or could be better controlled by making dietary or lifestyle chan Continue

The coil, BUPA and all that jazz

Ok so I have now had the coil fitted which went quite well but left me a bit sore and wobbly for a few days. Go for a check up in 5-6 weeks time but have assumed that it is all ok, that is me done for 5 years and hopefully that can be popped out just before it gives up the ghost and I might then be in a place to be starting to ttc which would be exciting but I'll come back to that in a moment. Went along on Friday morning to have a basal profile blood test done ready for my first endo appointme… Continue

He has gone and isn't going to turn around

Well OH and I are no more. I did something terrible several months ago and it seems that we just can't get past it. So this weekend, after talking and crying we have split-up. At the moment I keep being ok for a litte while and then breaking down, I guess that is normal though. He left here to drive back to the midlands, sat hoping and praying that he will turn around and the buzzer will go...that I will see his face and that he will tell me that he can see that I made a terrible mistake for whi… Continue

Week 7 so far...

Leading me onto my next point - plan of action for this week!! a) drink 2-3 litres of water or sugar free squash a day b) food diary to be completed c) plan my food d) avoid cakes, biscuits, muffins, mashed potato, alcohol, 'high GI carbs' - they are not my friend it would seem and if I can reduce them for a month and see a difference then they have to permanently go. When I do have pasta/rice/potato going to try to have protein with them. Tuesday: was ill with migraine/all day heada… Continue

A couple of neutrogena product reviews

I have been using a couple of new skin products from the Neutrogena range. The moisturiser of this range was recommended to me by a friend from Church who I found out has PCOS. Apparently her dermotologist had mentioned that oil-free products are better for the spots/dryness etc: Triple Action Lotion:
